Who is Minerva Mouse?  In 1928 when Mickey Mouse was created and they created Minerva Mouse as a girlfriend for him.  Her name was eventually changed to Minnie Mouse.

She had her whole family created with her in the comic strip.  Her uncle Mortimer mouse and her two nieces, Millie and Melody mouse.

Marcus and Margie are her parents.  She is a dear friend of Daisy Duck.  When she first debuted she was drawn in a short red flapper dress with a bowler hat and white gloves.  Black stockings and large high heel pumps complete her outfit.

In the 1940’s she was redrawn in her darling red polka dot dress with a large red and white matching bow for her head.

Tony Stark, the CEO of Stark industries has decided to reveal his true identity to the world.  When he does this, it starts a chain of events that almost kills him.

In Russia, Ivan Vanko sees his announcement on television and starts planning his revenge.  He is a mad scientist and with the help of Hammer he invents a similar suit to Stark’s suit.

Since Tony is being poisoned by his reactor, he gets careless and Ivan finds his chance to kill Stark.  Watch the show to see how this comic thriller ends.  This is a great show and well worth watching.

In 1898 the first cheerleader led a crowd of spectators in a cheer.  The first cheerleader wasn’t a girl.  It was Johnny Campbell and he was a yell leader for the University of Minnesota.  There are still a team of six yell leaders at the Minnesota University and they still use Johnny’s cheer.

Women didn’t get into cheerleading until 1923.  Women in cheerleading grew during the early 40’s as the men went to war.  During World War II there were cheer teams made up of all women.   Now cheerleading is found in all middle schools, high schools and colleges.

In 1960 professional cheerleading began with the Dallas Cowboys.  The National Cheerleaders Association was formed in 1948 by a cheerleader, Lawrence Herkimer.  He began cheerleader clinics in Dallas, Texas.  Gymnastics and tumbling was incorporated into cheerleading routines, which eventually became a dance routine.
Now cheerleaders are considered leaders in their student body and ambassadors for their school.
