Who is Minerva Mouse?  In 1928 when Mickey Mouse was created and they created Minerva Mouse as a girlfriend for him.  Her name was eventually changed to Minnie Mouse.

In Russia, Ivan Vanko sees his announcement on television and starts planning his revenge.  He is a mad scientist and with the help of Hammer he invents a similar suit to Stark’s suit.

Since Tony is being poisoned by his reactor, he gets careless and Ivan finds his chance to kill Stark.  Watch the show to see how this comic thriller ends.  This is a great show and well worth watching.

In 1898 the first cheerleader led a crowd of spectators in a cheer.  The first cheerleader wasn’t a girl.  It was Johnny Campbell and he was a yell leader for the University of Minnesota.  There are still a team of six yell leaders at the Minnesota University and they still use Johnny’s cheer.

Women didn’t get into cheerleading until 1923.  Women in cheerleading grew during the early 40’s as the men went to war.  During World War II there were cheer teams made up of all women.   Now cheerleading is found in all middle schools, high schools and colleges.

In 1960 professional cheerleading began with the Dallas Cowboys.  The National Cheerleaders Association was formed in 1948 by a cheerleader, Lawrence Herkimer.  He began cheerleader clinics in Dallas, Texas.  Gymnastics and tumbling was incorporated into cheerleading routines, which eventually became a dance routine.
Now cheerleaders are considered leaders in their student body and ambassadors for their school.

The United States is a great country and we love her.  That is what patriotic costumes are all about.

We had many great patriots in the revolutionary war period in the United States.  Of course, George Washington was a patriot.  He was dedicated to the United States.  He gave his all to fight for freedom.

In July of 1776 these patriots confirmed that the United States was an independent nation,  free of Great Britain’s tyranny.  Alexander Hamilton was a scholar before joining the military.  Thomas Jefferson was a farmer in Virginia before he was a statesman in the Continental Congress representing Virginia.  He was one of the authors of the Declaration of Independence.  John Adams was a lawyer.

Daniel Shays grew up in Massachusetts and had a farm there.  He was determined to fight for his country.  He fought at Bunker Hill, which was one of the first battles in Massachusetts.  He fought at the battle of Lexington also.

He received a sword from General La Fayette for his military service.  He was wounded and retired from the military.  When he returned home he wasn’t paid for his military service and his farm had acquired debts while he was away fighting for his country.  Therefore, Shay’s rebellion began.

These great men loved their country and were willing to fight for freedom.

A star is a laminating mass floating through space.  That doesn’t do justice to how beautiful stars are.  As the hydrogen in the core of the star causes friction it sends energy out into outer space and produces the light which we see.  As men studied the stars they grouped the stars into constellations.  When they put the groups of stars with the sun, they came up with the calendar.

There was a supernova event that took place in 1006 AD.  The Egyptian and Chinese astronomers recorded this event for us.  This was the SN1006 super nova.  Islamic astronomers gave many stars names that we still use today.  In 1019 there was a lunar eclipse that they recorded.  They built the first star observatory.  We are lucky to have the stars in the skies to look at and appreciate each night.

What is goth and where did it originate?
