Disney’s Minnie Mouse Cheerleader Costume

Who is Minerva Mouse?  In 1928 when Mickey Mouse was created and they created Minerva Mouse as a girlfriend for him.  Her name was eventually changed to Minnie Mouse.

She had her whole family created with her in the comic strip.  Her uncle Mortimer mouse and her two nieces, Millie and Melody mouse.

Marcus and Margie are her parents.  She is a dear friend of Daisy Duck.  When she first debuted she was drawn in a short red flapper dress with a bowler hat and white gloves.  Black stockings and large high heel pumps complete her outfit.

In the 1940’s she was redrawn in her darling red polka dot dress with a large red and white matching bow for her head.
Many children since then have grown up with Minnie and Mickey Mouse.
