This luscious Varsity vixen costume comes in red and white.  The red top is bordered in white trim and has a low cut neckline.  A large “V” shows who you are cheering for.

When did the mini skirt come into fashion?  In the mid sixties in the British Isles, two designers began designing mini skirts.

John Bates preferred to design mini skirts, with bare midrifs.  He also preferred the no bra look.  He designed for celebrities mostly.  His most famous customers were Twiggy and Dusty Springfield.

He was the first designer to have mini skirts but he didn’t get his ideas out to the general public until he began to design skirts for the local department stores.

Mary Quant was the first designer to get the public to accept the mini skirt.  She found girls in London who wanted to try her new shorter skirts.  They became her models.  At her boutique bazaar in 1965 she showed off her new skirt designs and the mini skirt took off from there.
